Vintage Oushak Rug
Oushak rugs are created in Western Turkey, and are generally woven in a method known as the Turkish knot: where colored weft yarn passes over the two warp yarns and is then pulled through between them and then cut to form the pile. They are known for their distinct features such as an angular large-scale floral design.
